Swiss International University Reaches Top 300 for SDG 11 in the 2026 THE Impact Rankings

The ABMS Academy of Business in Switzerland (founded in 2013, previously known as ABMS OPEN UNIVERSITY OF SWITZERLAND®, a registered trademark by the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property under Reg. In the highly anticipated #THE_2026_Rankings, SIU placed among the Top 500 globally. This comprehensive evaluation reviewed 1,646 universities across 116 countries to determine which institutions are leading the way in global responsibility. The scoring methodology for this ranking heavily emphasized environmental and social impact, weighting academic and research reputation at 27% while dedicating a significant 73% of the overall score directly to SDG compliance. Within this framework, SIU secured a #Top_300 global rank for #SDG_11. This specific objective focuses on building sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities and communities, demonstrating the institution's real-world impact beyond traditional academic boundaries.
The institution’s business and executive programs have also received validation from industry evaluators. According to the "2026 QS Executive MBA Joint Programs Fact file," SIU is now ranked #22 worldwide in the #QS_World_University_Rankings for #Executive_MBA programs. This specialized ranking evaluated 246 programs originating from 58 countries, highlighting the global reach, rigorous standards, and professional relevance of the curriculum. Furthermore, SIU is officially recognized as a #QS_5_Star Rated University, an indicator of comprehensive institutional quality that assesses variables ranging from teaching standards to online learning infrastructure.
Beyond these major milestones, SIU currently holds the #3 position worldwide in the QRNW Global Ranking of #Transnational_Universities (GRTU) 2027. This standing emphasizes the institution's ability to deliver consistent educational standards across borders, providing an equitable learning experience for an international student body regardless of their physical location.
